Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is a Mexican musician who was born into a musical family. Her childhood was spent listening to classic and old boleros, along with classic romantic songs and the Ranchero style. Ana loves opera and tangos, as well as any dramatic performance. She began singing and learning music with her mother, and commenced more serious training in singing at the age of 16 working with the famous Mexican Tenor Flavio Becerra. In Guadalajara, she attended the School of Music of University of Guadalajara as well as in Toluca in the School of Sacred Music. In Guadalajara as well as Mexico City, she was a member of many opera ensembles as well as chamber groups. She sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to Southern California. She sings in Ensemble XXI Redlands, and performs Latin American traditional music solo at many private events. As an active performer as well as an instructor, her love of arts and music keeps her engaged in a wide range of initiatives. Ana was also a member of the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is now a teacher in The Performance Loft. Ana is hoping that, by sharing her knowledge songs from Latin American traditional songs, that she will inspire a love, especially for the young generation in keeping the music vibrant.
